Job summary

Goodman Masson, on behalf of a fast-growing insurance and reinsurance business, is seeking a Financial Accountant to lead day‑to‑day financial control, reporting and treasury activities while collaborating with senior stakeholders across the Group.

You will handle journals, reconciliations, statutory reporting and financial systems improvements, with exposure to refinancing and potential M&A activity in a dynamic, tech-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 1–3 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong financial accounting and financial control experience.
• Experience with journals, reconciliations, general ledger and financial reporting.
• Experience with financial controls and accounting processes.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to own responsibilities in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day financial control activities across the Group, including journals, general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
• Producing accurate and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supporting statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and internal and external audit requirements.
• Supporting treasury activities, including cash management and FX risk.
• Maintaining robust books, records and financial controls across the Group.
• Supporting finance systems, process improvements and changes to the Finance infrastructure.
• Working with stakeholders across the business to resolve accounting and financial control matters.
• Supporting due diligence, refinancing and M&A-related activity where required.
