Goodman Masson is seeking a Financial Accountant to join a fast-growing, digital-first insurance and reinsurance business in London. You will manage day-to-day financial control activities, including journals, reconciliations and general ledger maintenance, while supporting treasury, FX and regulatory reporting.

The role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders across the Group, owning your area, and contributing to process improvements and potential M&A activity as the business grows.

Qualificações

• Qualified accountant with 1-3 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong financial accounting and financial control experience.
• Experience with journals, reconciliations, general ledger and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of financial controls and accounting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to engage with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in insurance, financial services or other complex regulated environments.
• Experience of treasury, FX or banking products.
• Experience with finance systems, process improvement or change projects.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day financial control activities across the Group, including journals, reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Produce accurate and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and internal and external audit requirements.
• Support treasury activities, including cash management and FX risk.
• Maintain robust books, and financial controls across the Group.
• Support finance systems, process improvements and changes to the Finance infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to resolve accounting and financial control matters.
• Support due diligence, refinancing and M&A-related activity where required.

Goodman Masson is supporting a fast-growing, digital-first insurance and reinsurance business with the appointment of a Financial Accountant.

The business has established a strong reputation for handling complex and sophisticated risks across international markets and has grown rapidly since launching. This is an exciting time to join the business, with continued growth creating a broad range of opportunities for Finance to support the wider organisation. The team is involved in areas including refinancing, process improvement and potential future M&A, alongside the day-to-day running of the function.

The role

The role has a broad remit across the Group, covering the day-to-day financial control activities of the business alongside wider Finance projects.

It is hands-on, with responsibility for areas including journals, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. There is also exposure to treasury, FX, statutory and regulatory reporting, audit, systems and process improvement.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the wider business and have the opportunity to take ownership of your area while contributing to the continued development of the Finance function.

This would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys a varied role and wants to be close to the wider business, with the opportunity to get involved in projects and activity beyond the core accounting cycle.
