Job summary

HENSOLDT UK, trading name of Kelvin Hughes Limited, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support naval, commercial vessels and shore-based radar systems worldwide. The role is primarily field based with travel across the UK and overseas.

You will install, commission and troubleshoot equipment, complete detailed service reports, and train customers when required. The position requires self-motivation, the ability to work at heights and in varying conditions, and a commitment to safety and

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Knowledge of computers including hardware and software.
• Knowledge of basic Networking.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Full driving licence required.
• Valid passport required.

Responsibilities

• Travelling within the UK and overseas destinations; typical visits up to 2 weeks.
• Carry out service interventions including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and tests.
• Work towards delivering Customer Training.
• Complete detailed service reports and expenses promptly.
• Communicate with line management about technical issues in the field.
• Support Customer Services Technical Helpdesk with emails and technical sheets.
• Uphold quality, improvement and customer satisfaction; observe health and safety rules.
• Complete training courses as required and be flexible on hours.
