Job summary

Expert Employment Limited is seeking an Installation and Commissioning Mechanical Service Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation specialising in industrial machinery and automated production systems. The role covers installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing within production and packaging environments.

You will install, commission and maintain equipment, diagnose faults, provide customer training and produce detailed service reports.

Qualifications

• Time Served Mechanical Engineer with HNC/HND level preferred.
• Strong mechanical maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with industrial machinery, installation or commissioning.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers.
• Good IT skills, including MS Office.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, Europe and worldwide.
• Experience with food and beverage production or packaging machinery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and overhaul industrial machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults and equipment malfunctions.
• Install machine upgrades, change parts and modifications.
• Conduct equipment inspections and spare parts assessments.
• Provide technical support and operational training to customers.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation.
• Support and mentor apprentices and junior engineers.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the UK and internationally.
