Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Global Procurement Category Lead – External Manufacturing to spearhead strategic sourcing for CMOs globally. You will develop strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-efficient procurement of contract manufacturing services to support our worldwide operations.

You will collaborate across R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Finance, driving cost reductions, risk management, and supplier performance enhancements while navigating regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• Progressive experience in global procurement or supply chain management.
• Proven track record in leading negotiations and delivering cost savings.
• Understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory requirements in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage global procurement strategies for external manufacturing (CMOs).
• Lead complex negotiations with key suppliers for favorable terms, pricing, and SLAs.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier evaluations, and risk assessments for sourcing opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with external manufacturing partners to foster innovation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations to align on requirements and delivery timelines.
• Drive supplier performance with regular reviews and KPI tracking.
• Lead supplier consolidation and dual-sourcing initiatives to improve resilience.
• Manage contract lifecycle for external manufacturing agreements with regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and geopolitical factors affecting external manufacturing.
