Job summary

Oxford Instruments plc is recruiting an experienced Export Control Officer to join our global compliance team. Based in the UK with a hybrid work model and occasional travel to other sites, this role manages day-to-day export compliance activities including licence applications, sanctions screening, and due diligence while ensuring audit readiness across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in export controls, trade compliance or similar regulatory role.
• Strong knowledge of UK export controls and ECJU licensing processes.
• Experience in regulated international environments such as technology or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage export licence applications, renewals and amendments.
• Conduct sanctions, restricted party and denied party screening.
• Review customers, destinations and transactions for compliance risks.
• Support enhanced due diligence for high-risk transactions and territories.
• Provide guidance on export control requirements and licensing processes.
• Maintain robust compliance records for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement changes across the business.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen compliance processes and controls.
