Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Manager for a global engineering organisation in the United Kingdom. The role covers export control and sanctions compliance across UK, US and international regulations, acting as the subject matter expert for Engineering, Sales, Projects, Supply Chain and Customer Support.

You will manage export licences, advise on controls and sanctions, and lead the development of compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Export Control or Trade Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of UK Export Control legislation and licensing.
• Practical knowledge of US export controls (ITAR/EAR).
• Experience managing export licences, audits and compliance reviews.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide clear, practical advice.

Responsibilities

• Manage export licence applications and documentation.
• Advise on export controls, sanctions and trade compliance.
• Develop and improve compliance processes and procedures.
• Support audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
