Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Manager for a stand-alone role in the UK. The position covers export control and sanctions compliance across UK, US and international regulations.

You will be the subject matter expert, providing practical guidance to teams in Engineering, Sales, Projects, Supply Chain and Customer Support. BPSS screening and UK clearance requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in Export Control or Trade Compliance.
• Knowledge of UK export control legislation and licensing.
• Experience with US export controls (ITAR/EAR) is advantageous.
• Experience advising across Engineering, Sales, Projects and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Manage export licence applications and documentation.
• Advise business on export controls, sanctions and trade compliance.
• Develop and improve compliance processes and procedures.
• Support audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate into practical requirements.
• Deliver training and compliance awareness.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and international counterparts.
• Provide risk-based, pragmatic advice to support delivery.
