Key Responsibilities

• Co-lead the global export controls and sanctions program for JetBrains.
• Monitor and analyze EU and U.S. export controls, sanctions, and enforcement trends.
• Manage classification, licensing, and technology transfer processes.
• Provide guidance on high-risk transactions, strategic deals, mergers and acquisitions, market entry, and onboarding of technology partners.
• Develop and enhance workflows, documentation, and automation for trade compliance.
• Serve as an escalation point for issues related to restricted countries, entities, and high-risk reviews.
• Collaborate with various departments including Legal, Sales, Product, Procurement, Finance, and Security on compliance matters involving cross-border transactions.
• Assist in conducting investigations and reviews related to sanctions and export controls.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in EU and U.S. trade compliance, preferably in a technology or global software context.
• Strong understanding of EU export control regulations, EAR, and sanctions regimes.
