Job summary

Escape Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Manager for a stand-alone role in a global engineering organisation. The position covers UK, US, and international regulations, acting as the SME for teams across Engineering, Sales, Projects, Supply Chain and Customer Support.

Key duties include licensing, policy development, audits, and regulatory monitoring. The role requires hands-on experience, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex rules

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in Export Control or Trade Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing export licence applications and associated documentation.
• Advising on export controls, sanctions and trade compliance.
• Developing and improving compliance processes and procedures.
• Supporting audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Monitoring regulatory changes and translating them into practical requirements.
• Delivering training and compliance awareness.
• Working with regulatory authorities and international counterparts.
• Providing pragmatic, risk-based advice to support delivery.
