Job summary

Urenco is seeking an Export Control Officer at its Capenhurst site to provide expert export control support across projects. You will guide governance, manage licence submissions through SPIRE, and deliver training to ensure UK/EU/US compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in export control, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with multinational teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years in export control, trade compliance or related regulatory role.
• Strong knowledge of UK export controls and their application.
• Experience with licence terms and obligations.
• Experience in regulated sectors (nuclear/defence) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide export control advice to project teams ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and submit licence applications through SPIRE; manage RFIs and EUUs.
• Deliver export control training and raise awareness across projects.
• Draft and update export control procedures and governance docs.
• Collaborate with UK, EU, and US teams to ensure consistent compliance.
