UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an Export Compliance Lead to drive export control compliance across projects. You will act as SME for regulatory obligations, supporting export/import arrangements and advising on the transfer of controlled items and technology within UKAEA.
The role reports to the Transport Manager in the Transport Team at UKAEA. This full-time position requires SC clearance eligibility and a DBS check, with onsite work at Culham, Oxfordshire.
Onsite working is expected for 3 days each week, however we actively support requests for flexible working. This role can be based at any of the following sites: Culham, Oxfordshire. This role requires employees to be eligible for SC Clearance (must have resided in the UK for the last 5 years), including the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.

As Export Compliance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in understanding, applying and implementing Export Control compliance obligations at business level as the subject matter expert (SME) supporting these exciting programmes within UKAEA. You will report to the Transport Manager within the Transport Team at UKAEA. The job holder will also support the implementation of import/export arrangements at UKAEA, providing advice on the regulatory aspects of the transfer of controlled items/technology and overseeing consignments to and from the site. This role offers an opportunity to bring your export control knowledge to an established and growing team and support the business as we move towards project delivery.
