Job summary

Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office seeks a visionary Estates Director to set strategy for the UK’s and its global property portfolio, spanning embassies, residences and staff housing. You will lead a multi-year transformation, embedding health, safety and sustainability across a 6,800-asset estate while ensuring value for money and regulatory compliance.

• Programme and project leadership at scale for multi-year estates transformation.
• Financial acumen with large capital and operating budgets.

• Influence and stakeholder leadership across government and industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the FCDO Estates Strategy to 2030 and beyond.
• Provide inclusive leadership to a diverse, geographically dispersed estates function.
• Design and embed a world-class estates operating model.
• Lead estates programmes and operations, including major capital projects.
• Manage financial and commercial stewardship of the global estate.
• Manage strategic relationships with OneHMG partners.
• Provide authoritative advice on estates and property matters.
