Job summary

Hitachi Europe Ltd. in Datchet is seeking an Equity Compensation specialist to join the Global Equity Compensation team. You will manage grants and vesting cycles, ensure tax compliance across multiple countries, and partner with subsidiaries and plan administrators.

Hybrid working model offered; 5+ years of discretionary share plan experience and strong Excel/Word skills are preferred. Travel to Japan may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with discretionary share plans.
• Experience in large companies with complex structures is desirable.
• Managed 3–4 grants and vesting cycles globally and understands tax compliance complexity.
• Proficient in data handling and creating auditable documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the grant cycle according to policy, including share and phantom awards.
• Manage the vesting cycle in line with legal and tax obligations, across countries.
• Manage eligible leavers and monthly schedules.
• Draft grant and vesting papers for approvals.
• Coordinate with subsidiaries to align cycles and timelines.
• Prepare communications and process with plan administrator.
• Support buyout processes for new joiners; and if needed for joint ventures.
• Support data integration and reporting with the plan administrator.
• Maintain audit-trail documents and intranet portals.
• Organize payroll instruction files with tax advisor at vesting.
• Deliver presentations educating global audiences on plan events.
• Travel to Japan may be required occasionally.
