Job description

Join the Resiliency Team and enhance resiliency, manage incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance.

As a GEO Vice President within the Resiliency Team, you will coordinate across GEO Middle Office teams to ensure consistent delivery of the Operational Resiliency program. You will partner with Markets Operations resiliency leads and the Resiliency team to deliver in line with regulatory requirements, firmwide and Corporate and Investment Bank standards. You will gain exposure and opportunity to work across the full spectrum of business performed in Equities operations, as well as the Essential Services. You will enhance and uplift resiliency plans, ensure closure of open concerns, validate potential vulnerabilities, and design and maintain a robust governance structure.

Job responsibilities

  • Holds a close relationship with Markets Operations leads and CIB Resiliency team to simplify the Resiliency requirements and facilitate the GEO Middle Office teams adherence to the FRB standards
  • Partners with CIB Resiliency team ( Test Event manager) and the GEO Managers to coordinate business participation and completion of resiliency testing for critical Assets (i.e. tabletop exercises, physical testing, etc.)
  • Partners with Global IAS Governance, the Local Outsourcing Governance teams and the GEO Middle Office Managers to ensure the charters are in place
  • Coordinates and facilitates IAS execution and ongoing stakeholder management, from pre-onboarding, steady state management, to possible disengagements/terminations and scorecard completion and alignment to the Resiliency plans
  • Is responsible for periodic health checks to ensure ongoing adherence to outsourcing policies
  • Partners with the Recovery and Resolution Working group to verify and attest the assets required for the Equities Critical Operations and provide updates to GEO Senior Managers of the new requirements as well as tabletop exercises
  • Delivers quarterly Management Information System (MIS) to monitor volume, impacts and themes of disruptions across technology, vendors, sub-custodians and Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs)
  • Supports the GEO MO managers during Simulation of the CPOF asset testing for GEO Essential Services
  • Supports the planning requirements for creation, maintenance and annual approval as well as the plan hygiene across the GEO Resiliency plans
  • Supports the GEO Middle Office managers and CIB resiliency team during exams/audit as required
  • Assists GEO MO teams during Major Incidents and implements framework to ensure monitoring of incidents which may rise to crisis level, with timely escalation to business heads, CIB Resiliency, and regional Crisis Management Team heads where appropriate

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Knowledge of financial markets, business continuity, recovery and resolution, and operational controls
  • Ability to articulate complex details clearly, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in operational resiliency

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in financial services, with a proven track record of successful strategy implementation
  • Familiarity with market products and project management, emphasizing teamwork and partnership
