Job summary

IMI plc in Poole seeks a tender planning professional to manage orders from receipt to delivery. The role focuses on ensuring margins, timelines, and resource alignment across projects, with exposure to international travel and customer interfaces.

You will evaluate technical and commercial elements of inquiries and produce comprehensive project plans, while coordinating with sales, design and production teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC or bachelor’s degree level (or equivalent) in a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in Project Management; Analysis; Design Skills; Manufacturing Methods and Procedures; Process Improvement; Technical Understanding; Documentation Skills; Supervision; CAD; CAD/CAM Design.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all technical and commercial elements of a sales enquiry; developing a project plan.
• Produce proposals arising from Sales team activities, including estimates of design/manufacturing time.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation throughout quotation process and liaise with colleagues.
• Undertake margin analysis reports and monitor costs against planned delivery.
• Occasionally accompany the sales team or deliver proposals and contract reviews at customer sites (possible international travel).
• Act as the customer interface for project orders, providing status reports and addressing issues.
