Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a seasoned manufacturing leader to oversee production, purchasing, continuous improvement and despatch, with strong linkages to Quality and Engineering managers to ensure consistent performance for demanding customers. Your background will include engineering discipline, Chartered status and extensive experience in cellular manufacturing, Lean, Six Sigma and world-class techniques.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and world-class manufacturing techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO9000, ISO18000 and ISO14000.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the manufacturing team including Purchasing, Planning, Quality Engineering, Continuous Improvement and shop floor.
• Drive improvements in team performance through goal-setting, training, development and coaching.
• Ensure manufacturing resources match customer requirements and priorities are set for allocation.
• Identify and solve production issues affecting suppliers, schedules, staff, quality and resources.
• Promote continuous improvement and lean practices to deliver best operating practice.
