Job summary

Promethean, a global leader in edtech, seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Lead to ensure regulatory compliance and oversee safety programs. The role covers packaging, electronics recycling, and EPR requirements, with duties including training, inspections, and regulatory submissions.

The successful candidate will coordinate with external providers and regulators, manage records, and drive sustainability initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Environmental, Health & Safety position.
• Knowledge of environmental reporting systems and regulations.
• Experience coordinating Health & Safety training and workplace safety programs.
• Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies, consultants, and third-party compliance providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage global environmental compliance programs in packaging, electronics, batteries recycling, and EPR.
• Monitor changes in environmental legislation and implement new requirements.
• Coordinate environmental reporting, registrations, declarations, and regulatory submissions.
• Support sustainability initiatives through waste reduction and responsible practices.
• Maintain environmental compliance records, certifications, and documentation.
• Coordinate company Safety programs including training, inspections, and safety awareness.
• Conduct workplace incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Process and coordinate EH&S purchase orders and invoices with Finance.
• Promote continuous improvement in environmental compliance and safety.
