Volta is seeking a Senior Director, Infrastructure Engineering to lead Volta's global portfolio of AI factories. You will head a multidisciplinary team, own engineering standards, and partner with CTO and CPO to ensure consistent compute turn-up across projects, regions, and timelines.

You will shape reference designs, govern design reviews, manage risk, and drive safety, efficiency, and scalable delivery across EMEA and AMER. This is a globally impactful leadership role at Volta.

Formación

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or building services engineering with chartered or professional status preferred.
• Significant experience in data centre or mission critical infrastructure engineering with senior leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep technical expertise in at least one core discipline and working knowledge across all infra disciplines.
• Experience developing and deploying design standards or reference designs for large scale data centres.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and grow a team of infrastructure engineering SMEs across multiple disciplines.
• Develop and deploy engineering design standards and specifications for AI factories.
• Provide engineering input into the Reference Design for AI factory infrastructure across regions.
• Support live projects from concept to commissioning, resolving issues quickly.
• Align facility design with compute, rack and network requirements for consistent deployment.
• Track AI hardware evolution and translate into design standards for next-gen compute.
• Own engineering governance and design authority for departures from standard.
• Standardise specifications for long lead equipment with Procurement.
• Champion safety, reliability, energy and water efficiency in design.
• Embed lessons learned to improve future factory builds.
• Provide engineering status, risk and decision reporting to senior leaders.
