Job summary

Tradewin is an international trade consulting firm specializing in regulatory affairs, logistics, and trade data management. We provide services across export/import compliance, classification, and duty mitigation with a global team of licensed professionals.

As a Customs and Trade Compliance Consultant, you will advise clients on cross-border regulations, prepare trade documentation, conduct compliance audits, and liaise with authorities to minimize duties and ensure regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• At least two years' professional experience in a trade compliance position.
• Experience with international trade compliance matters.
• Understanding of European Union and United Kingdom laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and related computer applications.
• Proven ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders to collect information and coordinate projects, ensuring customer needs are met proactively.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, solve problems, and support teams in meeting or exceeding customer deadlines.
• Track record of establishing, implementing, and maintaining standards, while continuously seeking improvement opportunities.
• Positive attitude and outstanding communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory changes affecting customs and trade compliance.
• Analyze import and export data for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with classification and valuation of products.
• Review goods for dual use, sanction and embargo regulations from the UK and EU.
• Guide clients through free trade agreements and special customs programs.
• Communicate clearly with businesses to help them navigate the evolving global trade landscape.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties.
• Complete 52 hours of training per year as per company standards.
• Adhere to ethical business practices and contribute to the organization's success.
