Job summary

Deloitte UK in London seeks a Senior Consultant/Consultant to join the market-leading Trade Compliance team. You will support export controls, sanctions, governance and assurance engagements across industries, build client relationships, and help strengthen risk and compliance capabilities through advisory and technology-enabled improvements.

Working as part of a delivery team, you will develop trade compliance knowledge and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of export controls and sanctions in UK, US and EU contexts.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate into practical advice.
• Experience delivering trade compliance guidance, governance and risk assessments.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex or evolving environments.
• Experience supporting project delivery, timelines and client outcomes.
• Understanding of client onboarding, contracting and project administration.
• Exposure to business development, credentials, proposals and client materials.
• Strong teamwork and communication across global, agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Advisory and Solution Development: identify client challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Support market intelligence, develop trade compliance services, assist proposals.
• Assistance with export classification, licensing, sanctions and controls analysis.
• Contribute to design and implementation of controls and process improvements.
• Project Delivery: own tasks or workstreams, manage priorities, report progress.
• Apply technical knowledge and seek guidance to complete engagements effectively.
• Deliver high-quality work aligned with objectives and firm goals.
• Stakeholder Management: prepare materials and follow up on actions with clients.
• Build trusted relationships and identify opportunities to add value.
• Communicate clearly to audiences at varying seniority levels.
