Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is building the next generation of customs technology and is creating a Global Customs Development Head role. You will lead the development organisation, shape the technology platform, and drive AI-enabled delivery across geographies.

You will report to Global Customs Management and work with product, architecture, and delivery leadership to deliver transformational programmes.

Qualifications

12+ years in development with progression to leadership.
Experience across desktop apps, server/backend, and web layers.
Experience leading 10-30+ engineers across geographies.
Experience adopting AI-assisted development tools and governance.
Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native patterns.
Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Lead the development organisation and set the technical direction for the customs platform.
Drive the transition to an AI-augmented delivery model.
Lead the development team with Delivery Managers to ensure timely delivery.
Define and own engineering standards across architecture, quality, CI/CD and security.
Partner to align capacity with strategic priorities across the organisation.
