Job summary

Blockchain.com in London seeks an experienced Chief Information Security Officer to lead its global cybersecurity program as the company scales toward an IPO. The CISO will report to the CTO and partner with Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance and Finance to align security with business objectives.

The role will oversee Security Engineering, SOC and GRC, drive incident response, risk management and regulatory readiness, and embed security into the software development lifecycle while

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CISO or senior security executive.
• Experience leading security within a US public company or through an IPO with regulatory knowledge.
• Deep technical experience in cryptocurrency, digital assets, blockchain or fintech.
• Demonstrated success leading global Security Engineering & GRC teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, incident response, IAM and modern security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Blockchain.com's global cybersecurity strategy aligned with IPO readiness.
• Foster a culture of security as a business enabler.
• Lead and scale Security Engineering, SOC and GRC teams.
• Partner with executive leadership on enterprise risk and regulatory readiness.
• Strengthen cloud, application and infrastructure security across a global platform.
• Drive incident response, vulnerability management and operational resilience.
• Develop AI governance and safety strategy.
• Oversee custody systems operations and security.
• Provide executive security assessments to Board meetings and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with SOC 1/2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, DoRA, SOX and other requirements.
• Embed security into SDLC while enabling engineering velocity.
