Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an Audit Specialist in Credit Risk to join the Audit Services team in London. You will assess credit risk controls, support audit delivery, and collaborate with global teams to provide independent assurance across Finance, Treasury and CAO activities.

The role requires deep credit risk knowledge, regulatory awareness (Basel III), and data reconciliation expertise to strengthen risk and control environments across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit risk management across multiple lines of defense.
• Knowledge of global credit risk regulatory requirements (Basel III, US Reg Q, EU CRR).
• Experience with stress testing, SCCL, CECL, and RWA interpretations (beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Assist end-to-end execution of audit engagements.
• Liaise with senior leaders and regulators to build trust and assurance.
• Evaluate controls supporting credit risk management across banking and treasury activities.
• Identify and communicate findings with clear documentation and timelines.
