Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer to develop and support hardware/software solutions for modernisation and upgrade projects across the EMEA region. The role involves electrical design, software design, commissioning, and supervising site work while maintaining high professional standards.

You will travel up to 80% domestically and internationally, supporting sales with costings and design concepts, and providing 24/7 emergency remote support as part of a rota.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimum.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering preferred.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software.
• Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning.
• Good understanding of electrical/electronic manuals & drawings.
• Understanding of distributed control systems desirable not essential.
• Ability to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and support hardware/software solutions for Modernisation and Upgrade projects.
• Provide a complete controls design solution including electrical design, software design and commissioning.
• Maintain Dematic’s image as a top-quality, professional company.
• Minimise disruptions to client operations while working within project scope.
• Provide 24/7 emergency remote support as part of a rota.
• Perform site supervisory duties when required.
• Support sales with controls costings and design concepts.
• Recommend spare parts and ensure consistency across projects.
