Job summary
Dematic is seeking a Controls Commissioning Engineer to design, implement, commission and support controls for material handling and automation projects, working both on-site and remotely.
You will develop hardware and software solutions for modernization projects, provide complete controls design including electrical design, software design and commissioning, and ensure solutions meet project requirements within time and cost constraints.
Qualifications
- Educational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimum
- Desirable: Degree level in a relevant discipline
Responsibilities
- To develop, implement and support hardware/software solutions for Modernisation and Upgrade projects
- To provide a complete controls design solution for a material handling project including electrical design, software design and commissioning – within cost and time constraints
- To understand live site constraints and provide low-disruption solutions
- To provide support, attend to faults and perform fault rectification
- To provide 24/7 remote support as part of a rota
- To perform site supervisory duties on projects when required
- To support sales with controls costings and design concepts
- To ensure consistent electrical/software/commissioning practices across projects
