Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a proactive Controls Engineer to design and implement PLC and visualization solutions for automated material handling projects. The role offers hybrid working with extensive international travel, taking you across global sites and environments.

You will work within the engineering team, developing control systems, testing in virtual environments, and supporting commissioning and documentation to ensure high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and programming control systems using Siemens S7 and/or TIA Portal.
• Industrial automation experience in a real-world setting.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC software and visualization systems for automated material handling projects.
• Design, test and emulate control systems in virtual environments.
• Interpret electrical schematics and design documentation.
• Deliver controls engineering activities across project design and implementation phases.
• Produce engineering docs including specifications, risk assessments and test plans.
• Support on-site commissioning and customer training as required.
• Ensure compliance with machinery and safety standards and drive improvements.
