Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer to join a Midlands-based system integrator. The role focuses on Siemens-based PLC programming, HMI development, and system integration for warehousing and logistics automation.

Hybrid working in the Midlands with travel for commissioning and customer support. The ideal candidate will have strong Siemens TIA Portal expertise, ladder logic skills, and experience with safety controllers and Profinet/Ethernet networks.

Qualifications

Proven experience with Siemens TIA Portal and PLC programming.
Experience with HMI development and onsite commissioning of conveyor/automation systems.
Knowledge of safety controllers and BS EN 13849 a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage engineering projects to meet client lead times and standards.
Develop technical documents with diagrams and features per client requirements.
Develop bespoke software routines for safe machine operation and control.
Onsite commissioning and testing of systems within the UK and abroad when needed.
Collaborate with team and maintain thorough daily reports.
