Job summary

Automation Experts in Gloucestershire is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer. You will develop PLC, HMI and motion control software for bespoke machinery and support projects from build through to commissioning across international sites.

The role includes regular travel to customer sites, excellent training, and a competitive package including pension, healthcare and life assurance.

Qualifications

• This role requires PLC and HMI programming experience with Rockwell platforms.
• Motion control experience is essential for automated machinery projects.
• Willingness to travel internationally several times per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC, HMI and motion control software for bespoke machines.
• Configure distributed control systems and industrial networks.
• Support machine builds, testing and commissioning at customer sites.
• Ensure safety systems comply with international standards.
• Provide technical documentation and customer support across projects.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and service teams throughout delivery.
