Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes division seeks a Senior Manager, Global Control Tower Operations to lead the 4PL Control Tower across Air, Ocean, Ground, and Customs. Location can be Leeds, UK or Cork, Ireland, with hybrid modality and international scope.

You will collaborate with regional teams, Procurement, IT and Compliance to standardize processes, drive cost efficiency, and ensure governance of transportation operations globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in transportation, logistics, supply chain, trade operations or related areas.
• Experience with 4PL Control Tower operations, 3PL management, customs brokerage, and global/matrix environments.
• Strong knowledge of multimodal transport, import/export, trade compliance, and supplier governance.
• Experience with TMS, Control Tower platforms, analytics, freight audit & pay, and performance reporting.
• Able to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive standard processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the global 4PL Control Tower provider to drive performance, governance, data quality, and continuous improvement.
• Lead deployment and adoption of Control Tower capabilities across units, franchises and regions.
• Oversee shipment visibility, exception management, TMS adoption, freight audit/pay, 3PL connectivity, and reporting.
• Ensure operations align with planning, financial controls, trade compliance, and customs brokerage requirements.
• Collaborate with regional ops, procurement, IT, finance, compliance, and 4PL/3PL partners; drive standard processes.
