Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Senior Manager, Global Control Tower Operations for DePuy Synthes. The role can be based in Leeds, UK or Cork, Ireland and involves leading the global 4PL Control Tower across regions to ensure consistent transportation execution and end‑to‑end visibility.

The position requires 7+ years in transportation or trade operations, experience with 4PL/3PL, and collaboration with regional teams, IT, procurement and finance. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related areas.
• Experience with 4PL Control Tower operations, 3PL management, customs brokerage coordination.
• Strong understanding of multimodal transportation, import/export processes, trade compliance.
• Experience with TMS, Control Tower platforms, analytics, freight audit and pay, and reporting.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically or globally.

Responsibilities

• Manage global 4PL Control Tower provider to drive performance, governance, data quality, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Lead deployment of Control Tower capabilities across regions and business units.
• Oversee shipment visibility, exception management, TMS adoption, freight audit and pay, 3PL connectivity, and performance reporting.
• Ensure Control Tower operations align with planning, financial controls, trade compliance, and customs brokerage requirements.
• Develop global standards for transportation execution and trade interfaces.
• Partner with regional leaders to translate business needs into scalable Control Tower and 3PL/4PL service capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement, service reliability, cost efficiency, and process resilience through structured program management.
• Lead cross-functional teams and foster accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and knowledge sharing.
