Job summary

Ellis Group is seeking a Contracts & Compliance Lead/Manager to shape the contracts and compliance function behind its global growth. Based in Richmond, the role supports a fast-moving, international recruitment environment across the UK, US and Europe.

Reporting to the CFO, you will own the full contract lifecycle, ensure compliant engagement of contractors, manage third-party suppliers and stay ahead of regulatory changes while enabling commercial growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in contracts, contractor management and compliance, ideally in a global recruitment or staffing agency.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment industry compliance and relevant tax/employment legislation.
• Experience with IR35/Off-Payroll and Worker Classification in the US.

Responsibilities

• Own the full contract lifecycle from drafting through extensions and completion.
• Maintain accurate contractor records and compliant documentation across regions.
• Provide practical guidance on recruitment compliance matters and regulatory changes.
• Support IR35 assessments and US contractor requirements.
• Manage relationships with third‑party suppliers, EOR and W‑2 providers.
• Monitor supplier compliance and report risks to Senior Leadership.
