Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Global Cold Chain & HVAC SME to provide global technical leadership and standards for temperature-controlled storage, refrigeration, ULT systems, HVAC, controls, and environmental monitoring across the CTD network.

The role partners with Regional Engineering Directors and site teams to drive compliant, reliable, and sustainable solutions, lead technology evaluation, and support capital planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Fields: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical engineering or related.
• 10+ years in cold chain, HVAC, or regulated environments.
• Experience deploying engineering standards across multiple sites.
• Expertise in temperature-controlled systems and environmental monitoring.
• Ability to lead global initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Serve as CTD's global technical authority for Cold Chain and HVAC.
• Harmonize capabilities across the CTD network.
• Lead evaluation of emerging Cold Chain and HVAC technologies.
• Provide escalation support for complex engineering challenges.
• Develop and maintain a global capability roadmap.
• Lead standardized network assessments for gaps and risks.
• Support capital portfolio prioritization with engineering input.
