Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Global Caterer Performance Manager to lead key supplier relationships and drive performance across overseas catering partners. You will balance supplier management, operational expertise and commercial thinking to improve quality, safety and customer experience.

You will use data and financial insight to challenge partners, manage audits, and lead improvement programmes while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to maintain high standards in catering operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, commerce or aviation; Lead Auditor training; Advanced Food Safety (HACCP) qualification.
• Experience managing airline operations, specifically inflight catering; strong supplier management.
• Comfortable working with data and financial information; able to negotiate and influence to drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Act as account manager for overseas catering suppliers; focal point for activity related to stations and caterers.
• Oversee catering and supply chain standards; conduct onsite and remote audits.
• Drive catering performance against customer satisfaction, punctuality and KPIs.
• Ensure food safety and security standards are embedded throughout catering operations.
• Manage tracking, resolution and reporting of catering incidents and quality issues.
• Lead caterer performance programme; ensure audits assess supply chain and galley packing.
• Review supplier results and lead annual performance reviews with caterer leadership teams.
• Maintain accurate reporting and data for caterer action plans.
• Work across teams to keep templates and manuals up to date.
• Manage wastage and offload check programmes; identify service failures and savings opportunities.
• Support contracting, finance and supplier governance activities.
