Job summary

Wise is seeking a Head of Global Card Expansion to own the partnerships that underpin how customers spend with Wise and how they fund their Wise Account. You will shape the Wise Card programme across Visa, Mastercard and acquiring partners, expanding into new markets and creating scalable, compliant card solutions.

You will collaborate across Product, Banking & Expansion, Treasury, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Engineering to solve complex problems and accelerate international launches,

Qualifications

• Experience working with Visa and Mastercard or both.
• Deep knowledge of card issuing, acquiring, and network economics.
• Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Experience launching or scaling card programmes across multiple markets.
• Understanding regulatory and financial crime requirements in card programmes.

Responsibilities

• Own Wise's global card partnerships with Visa, Mastercard, issuer banks and acquirers.
• Define strategy for global card programmes across issuing and acceptance.
• Lead complex negotiations and improve commercial economics.
• Lead and support global expansion with regional teams.
• Ensure compliance with scheme rules and regulatory requirements.
• Advise product and engineering teams on card ecosystem opportunities.
