What Your Role Is

At General Mills, our vision is to lead category growth in snacks through a portfolio of brands that deliver better snacking moments.

The International Brand Development Team (BDT) supports this by driving profitable growth across key international markets (UK, France, Australia) and high-potential growth markets. We do this through core renovation, innovation, pricing and packaging architecture (PPA), and Holistic Margin Management (HMM) initiatives.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Brand Manager to lead the charge in developing and launching brand innovations across global markets. You will lead projects to drive incremental and profitable growth across Nature Valley’s core platforms – Crunchy, Protein, and Sweet & Salty Nut. This includes managing renovation, innovation, and PPA initiatives.

In this dynamic role, working in a global cross-functional environment, you’ll collaborate with teams across BDT, R&D, manufacturing, and local markets to ensure successful project execution and market relevance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects set to drive Nature Valley’s core growth and innovation, working closely with the cross-functional teams to assess desirability, feasibility and viability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the development process, owning timelines and ensuring strong project management to ensure the team stays on track towards project delivery.
  • Gain alignment with Marketing Manager and Head of Brand Management at key decision points, leveraging critical evaluation of your projects and managing both risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with local markets encouraging two-way communication and collaboration to gather insight and feedback on projects in a timely manner while facilitating buy-in.
  • Collaborate with Category Manager and Brand Experience to build compelling sales materials to gain strategic buy-in from markets and customers and successfully sell-in the innovation / renovation pipeline.
  • Contribute to key annual planning milestones.

What You Will Bring To The Team

The candidate must have excellent project management skills, attention to detail and an agile mindset to deliver key initiatives that contribute to the long-term brand strategy & success.

  • Minimum 3 years’ proven success in brand management roles, with some experience in new product development.
  • Prior experience in key aspects of brand management is essential, including project and budget management.
  • Fluent in English, second languages desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence/manage multiple stakeholders and multiple projects across geographies.
  • A strong sense of diplomacy and leadership to enable effective decision making and influence in a complex matrix structure.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to energise teams, driving simplification and clarity in moments of uncertainty.
  • Able to work with ambiguity; flexibility & open-mindedness to offer innovative solutions.
  • Experience in P&L management, commercially savvy and with a good understanding of drivers of profitability.
  • Ability to identify and execute winning ideas that contribute to business efficiency and profitability.
