Job summary

Braden is seeking an experienced Bid Leader to join its Product Solutions team at the Cramlington office in the UK. You will own opportunities from qualification through proposal submission, coordinating engineers and commercial teams to develop technically robust and commercially sound solutions.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Costing, Project Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Quality to drive successful bids, while mentoring Engineers and shaping best practices for

Qualifications

• Experience in bid management, applications engineering, proposal engineering, technical sales, or a comparable technical-commercial role.
• Experience leading or coordinating complex technical-commercial proposals.
• Strong experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience reviewing customer specifications, commercial requirements, and contractual terms and conditions.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer opportunities from qualification through proposal submission and negotiation.
• Define bid strategy, identify risks and opportunities, and coordinate engineers and commercial teams.
• Develop technically sound and commercially competitive proposals.
• Maintain oversight of scope, pricing assumptions, contractual terms, risks, and proposal quality.
• Lead technical and commercial discussions with customers and negotiate to balanced outcomes.
• Share knowledge, develop best practices, and support growth of Application Engineers.
