Job summary

Jackie Kerr Recruitment – Engineering and Manufacturing seeks an experienced Bid Leader to own opportunities from qualification through submission and negotiation in the Cramlington office.

You will fuse technical, commercial and customer requirements to craft competitive solutions, lead risk reviews, develop bid strategies and coordinate internal stakeholders to deliver compliant proposals.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 12:45. Office-based in Cramlington.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating complex technical-commercial proposals.
• Ability to review customer requirements and align proposals with business objectives.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead opportunity qualification activities and bid strategy development.
• Define resource requirements and proposal schedules; coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders.
• Present bid recommendations and risk assessments for management review.
• Act as primary customer contact during bid phase and manage clarification activities.
• Ensure proposals are technically compliant and aligned with customer requirements.
• Collaborate on commercial strategy and governance with senior leaders.
