Job summary

Alfred H Knight is seeking a data-focused IT Business Analyst to join the Technology Delivery team at our Prescot head office. The role is on-site (3 days/week) with up to 2 days remote, driving end-to-end data platform requirements across global operations.

You will bridge business operations, BI teams and IT leaders, working with data engineers, BI developers and SMEs on enterprise data platforms, reporting systems and warehousing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven practical experience delivering BI, analytics, data warehouse or data platform projects.
• Excellent requirements gathering skills with KPIs, business rules, data definitions and reporting needs.
• Ability to model end-to-end data flows, source-to-target mapping and transformations.
• Strong collaboration with data engineers, BI developers, solution architects and SMEs; data quality principles.
• Outstanding workshop facilitation and stakeholder management, even with ambiguity.
• Experience across both Agile and Waterfall project environments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops and interviews with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities and capture requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and backlogs for sprint readiness.
• Analyse as-is vs to-be processes using BPMN/UML and perform data modelling for improvements.
• Collaborate with architects and dev teams to evaluate solutions and write UAT scripts.
• Support business leads with business cases and feasibility studies for new tech initiatives.
