AWS is seeking a world-class sales professional to manage global customer relationships with some of the largest Energy companies in the world.

The Global Account Manager (GAM) will be responsible for providing global business leadership and management of these accounts. Responsibilities include building and maintaining key relationships, developing and managing opportunities, monitoring deployment projects, and engaging virtual resources. The GAM will define a CXO relationship strategy, engage with AWS senior leadership for executive sponsorship, coordinate business reviews, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

The GAM will team with the customer’s IT organization to build strategic relationships, articulate a clear vision, and generate enthusiasm across all business groups. The role involves selling at a strategic level and implementing a broad strategy for customer acceptance and service deployment. The GAM will collaborate with AWS resources such as Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams, and Professional Services, including managing downstream sales and technical resources across geographies. Developing case studies and references showcasing AWS workloads is also a core responsibility.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) focus on driving revenue, adoption, and growth across small, mid-market, and enterprise-level customers, including public sector clients. The AWS Support team partners with leading companies to provide world-class support, essential for customer success, especially for mission-critical applications built on AWS services.

Basic Qualifications
  • Extensive experience managing large global accounts in a technology company, leading virtual and local teams, and developing relationships at all levels.
  • Knowledge of the Energy industry is important.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as the primary account manager of a global enterprise with multiple business units, influencing governance and policy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. Knowledge of AWS and cloud services (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in large deal negotiations with senior executives.
