Job summary

ARM International is seeking a Linux Site Reliability Engineer to monitor, maintain and improve a business-critical Linux production environment from London. You will own incident resolution, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive automation and patching across on-premise and cloud platforms.

The role requires strong Python/Bash scripting, experience with AWS, and a proactive mindset to enhance platform stability. You will join a global 24x7 support model and collaborate across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Background in Linux engineering, production support, platform engineering or SRE.
• Hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting in a production environment.
• Ability to support highly available, business-critical infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills using Python and/or Bash.
• Demonstrable ability to develop automation and improve operational processes.
• Proactive engineering mindset to investigate and resolve issues independently.
• Experience with AWS or other public cloud environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms.
• Experience with infrastructure automation.
• Experience in financial services, trading or low-latency tech environments.
• Experience working within a global 24x7 support model.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and support a business-critical Linux production environment.
• Proactively investigate and resolve production incidents, taking ownership through to resolution.
• Troubleshoot Linux, infrastructure and platform-related issues.
• Manage Linux patching and lifecycle activities across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency and eliminate repetitive manual processes.
• Utilise monitoring and observability tools to maintain platform health and identify potential issues.
• Participate in regional handovers and a global follow-the-sun support and on-call rota.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to continually improve platform stability and resilience.
• Background in Linux engineering, production support, platform engineering or SRE.
• Strong hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting skills within a production environment.
• Ability to support highly available, business-critical infrastructure.
