Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd in London is seeking two Linux Site Reliability Engineers to join a global engineering team supporting a sophisticated trading platform. The role is hybrid, with initially four days onsite, reducing to two days per week over time.

You will own the Linux environment across APAC/EMEA, collaborating with colleagues in London and New York, and focus on patching, automation, scripting and eliminating repetitive manual tasks to improve platform stability and resilience.

Qualifications

• Background in Linux engineering, production support, platform engineering or SRE.
• Strong hands‑on Linux administration and troubleshooting skills within a production environment.
• Ability to support highly available, business-critical infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills using Python and/or Bash.
• Demonstrable ability to develop automation and improve operational processes.
• A proactive engineering mindset, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and support a business-critical Linux production environment.
• Proactively investigate and resolve production incidents, taking ownership through to resolution.
• Troubleshoot Linux, infrastructure and platform-related issues.
• Manage Linux patching and lifecycle activities across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency and eliminate repetitive manual processes.
• Utilise monitoring and observability tools to maintain platform health and identify potential issues.
• Participate in regional handovers and a global follow-the-sun support and on-call rota.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to continually improve platform stability and resilience.

£530-£580 per day (Inside IR35)

My client in the financial sector are seeking 2 Linux Site Reliability Engineers to join a global engineering team supporting a sophisticated, business-critical trading platform.

The organisation operates a complex, globally distributed technology environment supporting systematic trading activity. The Linux estate is central to its operations, with a strong focus on availability, resilience, security and performance.

This is a hands‑on engineering role combining production support with continuous platform improvement. You will take ownership of the Linux environment across the APAC/EMEA operating day, working closely with colleagues in London and New York as part of a global follow-the-sun support model.

A key focus will be improving the environment through Linux patching, automation, scripting and reducing repetitive manual processes. This is an engineering-focused position rather than a traditional ticket-based support role.

Key Responsibilities
