Job summary

Optegra is recruiting a specialty glaucoma doctor to Bradford Eye Hospital to support the NHS glaucoma service. The role involves diagnosing and managing glaucoma and related eye conditions, along with clinical and surgical assistance and perioperative care.

The post emphasises NHS glaucoma clinic work; candidates should have a UK medical degree and current GMC licence to practise, with gonioscopy and SLT laser experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognised university.
• Valid GMC registration with licence to practise in the UK.
• Experience in ophthalmology, particularly glaucoma management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate and manage patients with glaucoma and other ocular conditions.
• Provide clinical and surgical assistance within the NHS glaucoma service.
• Provide management plans for existing glaucoma referrals.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
• Carry out diagnostic tests such as visual field assessment, OCT, gonioscopy.
