Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in Glaucoma to join the Ophthalmology Department. The role includes delivering high-quality glaucoma care, leading the service, and contributing to teaching, research, and service development.

The post requires senior subspecialty fellowship in glaucoma and experience with complex cases, advanced diagnostics, and evidence-based management planning within a Trust

Qualifications

• Full Subspecialty fellowship training in glaucoma and independent practice in glaucoma
• Experience managing the full spectrum of complex glaucoma conditions
• Expertise in interpreting glaucoma diagnostics (OCT, visual fields, optic nerve imaging) and formulating evidence‑based management plans

Responsibilities

• Provide a first-class glaucoma service
• Exercise effective leadership within the specialty
• Support and develop teaching and research activities
• Work in accordance with Trust procedures and operating policies
• Deliver clinical practice aligned with contractual requirements and service plans
