Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Ophthalmology Consultant with a strong focus on glaucoma and general ophthalmology. The role spans multiple sites in Birmingham, requiring leadership in a busy, modern service.

The successful candidate will manage acute and complex glaucoma, perform routine cataract surgery, glaucoma laser treatment, and participate in service development across Queen Elizabeth, Good Hope/Solihull, and QEH sites.

Qualifications

• Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of CCT at time of interview
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development including CME
• Disclosure and Barring Service Check
• Certificate of Sponsorship
