Job summary

Argenbright Security Europe Limited (trading as ASEL) in Glasgow is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime, respond to incidents and provide clear reports. You will patrol stores, assess vulnerabilities and coordinate with local authorities to reduce risk.

The role requires a valid SIA licence; training is provided. You will handle queries professionally, maintain safety, and support customers and staff in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Retail security experience is an advantage but not required as full training is provided.
• Applicants must provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history.
• Current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence is required to apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
• Assess vulnerabilities and work to minimise risk.
• Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
• Complete colleague and contractor searches as per policy.
• Digitally report incidents and use devices for daily planning.
• Provide detailed incident reports to aid the Client and Local Authorities.
