Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking a GIS Technical Advisor to strengthen the energy network by leading on-site installation, testing, and maintenance of Gas Insulated Switchgear across the UK. After a comprehensive training program, you will own projects and ensure customer satisfaction in line with Hitachi Energy's high standards.

Qualifications

HNC or equivalent in electro‑mechanical engineering.
Experience in the power generation, transmission, and distribution industry or transferable skills.
Experience and/or certification in Gas insulated switchgear installation is desirable (Technical training is provided).

Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute on-site GIS installation and maintenance activities.
Apply working knowledge of GIS to make informed technical decisions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects safely and successfully.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance to minimize risks.
Build relationships with customers and identify opportunities for the business.
Prepare field reports, protocols, and site progress updates.
