Job summary

Coherent is seeking a German-speaking HR Operations Specialist to deliver seamless employee experiences across EMEA and North America from Glasgow, with a hybrid arrangement (3 days onsite). You will be a hands-on advisor, processing lifecycle transactions and maintaining accurate records.

You will collaborate with Payroll, Benefits and HR Systems, handle confidential information with discretion, and help drive GDPR-compliant processes and data quality across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Fluency in German and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• At least two years of experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or a related support function.
• Experience handling confidential information with integrity and discretion.
• Experience using HR systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries via case management.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, processes and employee questions.
• Own cases and resolve them within agreed service levels.
• Escalate complex enquiries to specialist HR teams with proper handover.
• Process employee lifecycle transactions and changes, including data updates and benefits.
• Validate information to minimise payroll, benefits and compliance risks.
• Maintain confidential, audit-ready records in HR systems.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and accurate documentation across countries.
