Job summary

SLB Cambridge Research in the UK seeks a creative Research Scientist to develop experiments for understanding complex flow dynamics in geothermal systems. You will design and lead multiphase fluid-flow experiments to validate models of enhanced geothermal systems.

You'll work with modellers and domain experts, build and commission high-temperature/pressure rigs, and publish findings while contributing to innovative energy solutions within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• PhD in Fluid mechanics or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute multiphase fluid flow experiments (gas, liquid, solid) for geothermal systems.
• Collaborate with modellers and geothermal experts to validate models and concepts.
• Engage with SLB technical community and present findings internally and externally.
• Develop novel solutions to research and engineering problems and articulate them to the team and management.
• Publish scientific papers and contribute to patent applications and conferences.
