Matchtech is seeking Geotechnical Site Investigation Engineers on a contract basis to lead and implement geotechnical solutions using sonic and rotary core boreholes, trial pits, and CPTs. You will design plans, supervise investigations, and prepare detailed reports for diverse projects.

Candidates should have cross-sector geotechnical experience, SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, CAT/Genny, First Aid, asbestos awareness, Banksman, manual handling, and medical fitness to work.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical engineering across cross-sector projects.
• Proficiency in conducting and supervising site investigations (sonic/rotary core boreholes).
• Knowledge of geotechnical design principles and relevant software.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification for supervisory roles.
• CSCS certification.
• CAT and Genny training.
• First Aid - 3 day ideally.
• Asbestos awareness training.
• Banksman training for supervisory roles.
• Manual Handling certification.
• Medical/fitness to work assessments.

Responsabilités

• Conducting and supervising site investigations to collect and analyse data on ground conditions
• Designing, planning, and implementing geotechnical solutions for various projects
• Preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations based on site investigation findings
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
• Providing expertise on geotechnical risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed during site activities
• Managing and overseeing on-site geotechnical projects, including boreholes and trial pits
• Logging rock cores with significant rock core logging experience, ideally Karst Limestone
